Wendy Masters is a well-known reputation manager, strategic consultant and crisis-communications specialist. She is the owner of The Phoenix Partnership, a content agency established in 2002 and winner of the 2016 Prism Award for Crisis Communication.

• Building leading lifestyle and consumer brands including One&Only Cape Town, the Vineyard Hotel, Oude Werf and Townhouse Hotel, Cape Town Cycle Tour, Flagstone Winery, Cluver & Jack, several Media24 brands, Cape Town Carnival and Workaway International.
• Co-preparing the Emergency Communications and Crisis Management Plan for Tourism Safety in the Western Cape and supporting the then Joint Marketing Initiative (JMI), now incorporated into Wesgro.
• Event Organisation Communications Manager for the City of Cape Town’s December 2013 tribute to the late Nelson Mandela.
• Developing an integrated communications strategy and action plan for Cape Town International Convention Centre Company. This included launching the CTICC at EIBTM in Geneva in 2002 and all communication with the MICE industry, politicians at the City and Province, tourism stakeholders and media.
