Pearl Oliver is the Sommelier at leading Cape Town hotel, One and Only. Pearl has over 16 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and has worked at top hotels including the Taj and Belmond Mount Nelson.
She has a WSET level 3 certificate and in 2016 completed a post graduate diploma in Wine Business at the University of Cape Town. Pearl has served as a judge for many wine competitions and was a Sommelier judge for 3 seasons on the hit TV show, South African Master Chef. In 2009 Pearl was awarded Best Wine Steward nationwide by Diners Club and she has also won awards for her wine lists. Pearl has trained many young wine stewards and prides herself on her ability to win over any guest.
